Kotma (Madhya Pradesh): In an unfortunate bloody incident, a class 11 girl was attacked by an unidentified miscreant with a sword leaving her dead on the spot. The incident happened on Thursday outside the girl's school at Kotma village in Madhya Pradesh's Anuppur district. The police officials said that the accused almost severed the girl’s head.

It is learnt that the man followed the 16-year-old girl who was on her way to the school to write her biology paper. An eyewitness said, "I saw a girl outside and a man walking behind her outside the school and thought they were family. The man suddenly started beating the girl. I tried to intervene and shouted at him to stop, as I was about 20 feet away, he managed run away."

The victim's family alleged that the miscreant to be one Dilip as in 2014 against whom a complaint was filed for eve teasing the girl. The Police has arrested Dilip and are investigating the case. Further details are awaited.

In another incident, the prime accused in the horrific murder of a Dalit law student in Allahabad was arrested on Wednesday from Sultanpur in Uttar Pradesh, police said. Vijay Shankar was taken into custody from the house of Chandra Bhadra Singh, a political activist. Incidentally, the killing had been filmed by a passerby and the clip went viral, leading to outrage. His autopsy showed 30 injuries on his body, including several fractures. Students of Allahabad university went on a rampage after Saroj's death.
