After several days of stand-off, the government blinked first on Friday night and gave permission for the proposed Telangana Sunday march. However, it has not stopped arresting Telangana activists.

Telangana leaders accused the government of carrying on preventive arrests saying that the government is creating hurdles in the path of the organizers of the Telangana march even after giving permission for it.

Leaders that are likely to participate in the March are:

Eight members of Parliament belonging to Congress party from the Telangana region have already announced their decision to participate in the march
Sources said that the state ministers who played a key roles in getting permission for the protest are likely to participate in the march.
Gaddar also visited Hussain Sagar today to declare his support for the Telangana march.
However, Osmania University students who led the Telangana movement all along are unlikely to be a part of the March as the government refused permission to them to take out a rally from the campus to the protest venue.
Expectedly, the TJAC, BJP and TRS supporters will be in the forefront of the march.
Police, however, are not likely to allow any activists from other parts of Telangana region to enter the city. A security ring has been thrown around the city with tight screening at all the entry points.

The security concerns of the police have been heightened by the participation of Congress ministers and MPs, with whom a large section of the local populace is unhappy for their lukewarm efforts in striving for a separate Telangana.

Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC) convenor M. Kodandaram alleged that police are not stopping arrests of their activists coming from different parts of the region.

Kodandaram along with other leaders demanded that government should stop the arrests immediately and also appealed to the police and government to cooperate with the TJAC in the conduct of a peaceful march. He told the media after a meeting with the Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma along with JAC leader Srinivas Goud, Telangana Jagruthi president Kavita, that they are hopeful of a large turn-out for the march.

The TJAC convenor also said that they will announce the future course of action at the march.
Meanwhile, the BJP leaders are all set to pay tributes at the Telangana martyrs memorial first and proceed towards Necklace road to participate in the march.
