Mentally-Challenged Girl Sexually Assaulted in Old City 

Hyderabad: Two persons have been arrested by Moghulpura police in connection with a rape of a 15-year-old mentally-changed girl.

The girl is being sent to Bharosa Centre on Thursday. The victim is a resident of a Sultan Shahi in the Old City of Hyderabad.

Police said that the accused took the victim to a house belonging to one Rahul in Lalitabagh in Chatrinaka and sexually assaulted her. The incident took place on February 10 and the accused are - Ajay (18) and Karan (21).

The accused have been booked under sections of the 376, 354 (d) and 366 (A) of the IPC and section 6 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.

Girl’s father Narsing filed a missing report on February 10; however, the girl returned to home herself next day. Father told police said that girl herself described the harassment meted out to her. The police have since lodged a case.

“The girl is unable to tell us clearly what transpired on that day. Efforts are on to find out,” an official said.
