Meet the man who makes greedy voters guilty in Gudivada

Creativity has been, since time immemorial, an important aspect of marketing. A small shop in Gudivada, in Krishna district, has proved that a little bit of creativity goes a long way in both spreading a positive message and making one' s presence felt.

Shops having banners that state, "beware of your personal belongings" or "No credit given" are the norm. But, one shop that specializes in electronic goods, has gone one step further and put up a banner saying, "Don't come to my shop with money that you earned by selling your votes. Come and purchase goods with your hard earned money."

With this timely banner, the owner, YV Murali Krishna has attacked at the very heart of election malpractice, that of buying votes. Speaking to Sakshipost, Murali Krishna said that the shops in his area made Rs 10 crore during the recently concluded municipal elections. Thus, hinting at the practice of politicians of luring in voters with expensive gifts. After that, he decided to put up this banner.

That is not all, his banner also exhorts voters to not sell their votes and tell them not to visit his shop.
