Mayor, Commissioner dispute reaches CM

  The dispute between the GHMC Mayor Majid Hussain and its Commissioner Somesh Kumar reached Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao.

Both Mayor and Commissioner met the chief minister in assembly premises on Monday.

The rumors are such that the chief minister called both of them to settle disputes among them.

Cold war has been going on between both of them for some time. With this, the chief minister plunged into action and called both of them to his chamber. He asked them to work in tandem for the smooth functioning of the GHMC.

It may be recalled that Majid Hussain is unhappy with the demolition of illegal constructions in the city without his knowledge. There are some allegations too that the Commissioner did not listen to anyone while demolishing the buildings. Mayor brought to the notice of the chief minister the demolitions without informing him the same.

It is reported that both Mayor and Commissioner indulged in war of words in the presence of chief minister itself. KCR explained them the need to work all of them in coordination with each other.

However, the mayor said that he did not give any complaint to the chief minister on Somesh Kumar.
