'Matti Satyagraham' to accord Special Category Status for AP

APCC chief N Raghuveera Reddy along with his party members organised 'Matti Satyagraham' movement at Amaravati to accord special category status for Andhra Pradhesh on Monday.

As a mark of protest the members would collect soil from Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) and will send it to Mr Modi asking to grant special status for AP.

The programme was organised at CRDA, the same place where the ground-breaking ceremony for a new capital took place on October 22. APCC chief N Raghuveera Reddy said that Modi failed to impress Andhra people just by giving soil and water while not even mentioning about the special category status to AP.

He called the NDA government and AP chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu as fraud who failed to live up to their promise.

Mr Reddy further added that Modi should also accord special status for Andhra Pradesh on the lines of those granted to Bihar and Jammu and Kashmir.
