Unrelenting rain god punished Hyderabad city for a continuous fourth day. With rains coming at the time when most people head home, there were traffic snarls at most places like Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Punjagutta, Ameerpet, SR Nagar, Erragadda, Kukatpalli, Miyapur, Gachibowli, Narayanguda, Uppal, LB Nagar and other areas. A massive traffic jam has been reported near JNTU in Kukatpalli.

At Punjagutta Centre too, vehicles remained stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic for over an hour. Several roads have been inundated and water entered into many residential complexes. Met sources said that 6.4 cm of rainfall was recorded during the last 24 hours. Srinagar Colony received 4.8 cm, while Secunderabad recoreded 3.4 cm.

The city and the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh will in all likelihood witness more rains as another low pressure area has been formed off AP coast.
