Hyderabad: Even as the families of the six Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) leaders kidnapped by Maoists in Khammam district on Thursday worried about the captives' lives, an intensive combing operation was launched in Adilabad forests bordering with Maharashtra and Chhattisgharh in the wee hours of Friday. About 30-50 Maoists are suspected to be hiding in the forest. 400 policemen in 14 teams are participating in the combing.

Meanwhile, a letter stated to be written by Maoist leader Jagan was released to media warning the state government against any further combing and encounters. The six TRS leaders in our captivity will be killed if the combing is not withdrawn immediately.

Telangana government is making all efforts to get the abducted leaders release from the Maoists' captivity. The incident put the TRS government in a tights pot as the by-election to the Warangal Lok Sabha constituency is scheduled for Saturday.

On the other hand, Dandakaranya Special Zone Committee member Gajarla Ashok has reportedly left the party and was trying to surrender before the police. Karimnagar SP Joel Davis on Friday welcomed Ashok's decision and invited him into the social mainstream. He assured all help and support to the Maoist leader if he wants to live a normal life. Ashok hails from Chityal area in Warangal district.
