Hyderabad: Expressing dismay at the haphazard digging of roads for the Ganesh festival, popular actor Manchu Lakshmi tweeted images of the roads and wrote a letter to Municipal Adminstration minister KT Rama Rao.
In her letter, the actor highlighted cables being cut for huge idols without any planning. She questioned 'who is responsible to replace the cables' on the main roads of Film Nagar road where huge number of cables were removed for the purpose. The actor suggested that instead of permitting Ganesh pandals in every street, each area should have only one idol and related paraperpheyal. This will prevent competition and encourage the utsav organisers to work in unity without losing the religious fervour, she added.
