Man Rapes Daughter With Wife’s Help; Villagers Thrash Couple After Girl Complains 

Srikakulam: A man in his 40s and his wife were thrashed by villagers of Kovvada after their 13-year-old daughter approached them for help as her father was raping her for the past two years with the help of her mother.

The minor girl ventured out of home for help from villagers as her father had been sexually assaulting her with the active support of his wife, the girl's own mother, for the past two years. When a group of neighborhood people went to the girl's house to find out the truth, Mailapally Appanna and his wife Polamma, the girl's father and mother respectively, even admitted doing what the girl told the villagers.

Then more people gathered at the house and thrashed both Appanna and Polamma before the police arrived. However, the man escaped from the spot but was later arrested by the police.

JR Puram SI V. Satyanarayana confirmed that the girl complained against her father and mother for sexual assault. On the instructions of DSP K. Bhargavanaidu, CI Y. Ramakrishna is investigating the case. The girl was admitted in a hospital for medical examination and treatment.
