Man Molesting Woman Journalist Caught On Cam, Held

Delhi: A 25-year-old woman journalist was molested at a Delhi metro station and the video of a miscreant groping the scribe went viral. The police nabbed the accused on the basis of the CCTV footage.

The footage shows the woman walking on a stair case with the man right behind her. The man then is seen trying to grope her. When she resists him, he hits her and then flees from the place. The woman then give a chase to nab him. The incident happened on Tuesday at 9.30 PM.

The journalist lodged a complaint in connection with the incident. The accused was promptly arrested and sent for a 14-day police custody to the Patiala House Court.

DCP (Metro) Pankaj Singh said, "On the basis of the CCTV footage, we formed teams and searched all areas and finally arrested the culprit." The accused works as a tea vendor and stays close to the metro station. Incidentally, in the past too, he has molested several woman. Even the day before he had his comeuppance, he groped another woman.
