Man Hacks 36-Year-Old Woman To Death Over ‘Illicit Affair’, Commits Suicide
Gudihatnur (Adilabad): In a shocking incident, a man hacked a 38-year-old woman to death and committed suicide by hanging himself on Saturday morning. The incident caused panic among the villagers of Machchapur in the district.
According to the police, accused, who was identified as Govindrao, was in illicit relationship with victim Madavi Sunitha for the past three years. Both of them belonged to Kollamguda, a tribal hamlet in Gudihatnur mandal. Sunitha, who has three daughters, had recently performed marriage of her first daughter.
On Thursday, Govindrao and Sunitha fled from their houses without the knowledge of their family members.
Later, the relatives of both the families lodged a complaint with the police and started searching for them. On Saturday, Govindrao hacked Sunitha to death with an axe and committed suicide by hanging himself at an animal shed in the village. The reason for this extreme act is unknown. The police registered a case and launched investigation.
