A trickster attempted to cheat Andhra Pradesh Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya by forging her signature to get a job in AP Tourism department. 

Vijayawada: A trickster attempted to cheat Andhra Pradesh Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya by forging her signature to get a job in AP Tourism department.

The accused even went a step ahead by questioning the Minister at her chamber and alleged that the staff of the peshi were not heeding to the request.

The trickster, identified as Ali, a native of Pedakurapadu of Guntur district on Wednesday came to State Secretariat at Velagapudi seeking appointment of Minister Akhila Priya. When he was allowed to meet, he directly questioned the Minister for the way he is being treated by the staff.

Growing suspicious over his claims, Akhila Priya happened to see his recommendation letter signed by her. She noticed that her signature on the letter was a forged one. She immediately alerted the police and handed over the accused to the police. The accused was shifted to Thullur police station.

Speaking to media persons, Akhila Priya clarfied that the man who entered her chamber seeking job, had met her on several occasions at Nandayl and Allagadda on the same pretext. "But I never assured him of any job and I didn't give any assurance letter with my attestation," she said. It is learnt that the accused had even forged signatures of several Ministers in the past.
