Man Ends Life After Wife Elopes With Lover  

Hyderabad: Depressed at being abandoned by his wife, a 31-year-old ended his life by consuming poison on Sunday at Uppal. K. Yakaiah got married to Ravali on June 18 this year. The woman on the pretext of visiting a friend left home July 21. As she didn’t return home disturbed Yakaiah lodged a complaint the next day. Sometime later, his wife called him to tell him that she wanted to live with her lover and will never come back to him.

Unable to digest the fact Yakaiah got depressed and consumed poison. He walked up to the police station in a critical condition and collapsed in front of it. The police shifted him to a hospital where he was declared brought dead.

Meanwhile, the victim's family alleged that he was harassed by his wife from the beginning. The deceased's brother Bhasker said, "He waited patiently that she would change and mend her behavior. But she went up to an extreme causing my brother's death."

Police have booked an abetment to suicide case against Ravali and were trying to trace her.
