Man Dies As Collapsed House Slips Into Well
Hyderabad: A dilapidated house got collapsed at Kompally on Wednesday and slipped into a well as the house was built close to a 60-feet-deep well.
In the mishap 50-year-old G Nagalingam got drowned and died and his body was recovered on Thursday.
The incident was informed to police by Nagalingam’s family members about the toppling of the house.
“Nagalingam’s body was recovered after flushing out water from the well. The structure had got weakened by rain,” said DV Ranga Reddy, Petbasheerabad police inspector.
Police said that the well had been dry for years before it filled up in the recent spell of heavy rains. A case has been registered under 174 (suspicious death) of CrPc.
The deceased was native of Armoor in Nizamabad district and worked as a cook in a hotel near the mishap site.
