All India Congress Committee (AICC) secretary and MLC Ponguleti Sudhaker Reddy today demanded TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu immediately spell out his stand on separate Telangana state.
Talking to mediapersons at the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) office in Hyderabad, Ponguleti said that Naidu should immediately give up his double tongue strategy on Telangana and make his stand amply clear without any ambiguity. On Naidu’s statement that the TDP would give clarity on the demand at the All-Party meet as and when the Congress-led UPA Government convenes it, the MLC said “New Delhi will look after the matter of calling for an all-party meet. Here in Hyderabad, you should make your stand clear and only then you have the right to move in the region,” the MLC thundered.
Ridiculing Naidu’s claim that the State, including the capital city of Hyderabad, witnessed tremendous growth only during his nine-year tenure, the AICC secretary asked the TDP chief as to what he (Naidu) had done for Mehboobnagar district, which he adopted. “Do not make any false claims,” Ponguleti told Naidu.
