Mahesh Babu's Bharat Ane Nenu and Rajinikanth's Kaala are set for a showdown at the box office this summer. Both the films will open in theatres in the same month but within a week's gap.

Bharat Ane Nenu and Kaala teaser received thumping response from the audience. Mahesh Babu's film has become a rage among the public rather than Kaala's Telugu dubbed version teaser. Bharat Ane Nenu teaser registered 11.5 million views within a day while Kaala got 4 million views since its released till date. Mahesh Babu has beaten Rajinikanth's record with the latest teaser.

Bharat Ane Nenu is a political drama where Mahesh is set to play the role of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister while Rajini will be seen as a mafia don. Actually, both the films were to be released on April 27 but they had a meeting with film chamber and only Rajini's Kaala will release on actual date. Bharat Ane Nenu has been preponed and it will be released on April 21. If teaser's success were any indication, Bharat Ane Nenu is likely to rule summer box office. Bharat Ane Nenu did a pre-release business for a fancy price whereas Rajini's Kaala could garner such amounts.

Mahesh's Bharat Ane Nenu is directed by Koratala Siva who has back-to-back success track with Janatha Garage, Srimanthudu and Mirchi. On the other hand, Rajinikanth's Kaala is directed by Pa Ranjith and this is second collaboration with the south Indian superstar after Kabali which bombed at the box office. Buyers are taking a cautious step after Kabali debacle to bag the Kaala rights. Once Bharath Ane Nenu releases in theatres then definitely Mahesh could rule the box office.
