Mahbubnagar: Eight injured in gas cylinder blast (2)

Eight persons were injured when a major fire broke out in a steel factory in Mahabubnagar district after a cylinder burst on Wednesday, police said.

According to the reports, the fire broke out in the factory due to the impact of the cylinder burst. The workers on duty were engulfed in flames.
All the injured were rushed to a government hospital in Shadnagar. Six workers, including a woman, suffered burns and are said to be in a critical condition. Doctors are planning to shift them to Hyderabad for treatment.
The relatives of the injured alleged that the incident was due to the negligence of the factory management. However, the exact details of the mishap are yet to be ascertained.
