Maha elections a final test for NCP, Congress: Modi

Describing the October 15 Maharashtra Assembly polls as the final exam for the Congress and NCP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday predicted that both the parties will get only 10 seats each.

"This is the final exam of the Congress and NCP. This poll is not about who wins or loses. But this poll will decide the fate of Mumbai and Maharashtra," he said.

"What does Mumbai and Maharashtra want? You must have noticed now what a good government can do, he said. Do you feel things are different? Does not your chest swell with pride with the response India is now getting in the global arena," Modi said referring to his recent US visit.

"You may not have anything in your pockets in the last five months, but you know that the country is going in the right direction in these five months, he said.

"You have the power to get rid of this goondagiri. For that you just have to press the lotus symbol on October 15. Give Maharashtra a government with full majority" Modi said.

"We will get full majority in Maharashtra and Haryana. People will do it with full faith in us," he said confidently.
