Low Interest Loans Fraudsters Arrested

Hyderabad: Cyberabad crime police arrested three persons in Delhi for cheating gullible people by collecting money as processing fee on the pretext of providing loans at low interest. The accused who cheated a person in Gachibowli were brought to city on transit warrant.

Accused Gaurav Rathore, Rahul Shekya and Mohammed Mahaboob Raza earlier had worked as call center employees who were familiar with banking operations and used to call victims through pre-activated SIM cards

Posing as telecallers from major banks they used to cheat victims saying that they offer loans up to Rs 50 lakh at 5.5% rate of interest. Falling in trap, the victim showed interest to take loan and paid Rs 16 lakh only to realize later that he has been cheated.

Accused Gaurav Rathore, Rahul Shekya and Mohammed Mahaboob Raza earlier had worked as call center employees who were familiar with banking operations and used to call victims through pre-activated SIM cards.

Police seized four mobiles and Rs 8 lakh cash from the accused.
