Lovers commit suicide in Karimnagar

Faced with stiff resistance to their marriage from their families, two lovers belonging to separate castes allegedly committed suicide  by consuming pesticides at Mangela village of Karimnagar district.

According to reports, Ranjith (22) and Vanaja (19) who hailed from Mangela village committed suicide by consuming poison mixed with soft drinks. They were noticed by the locals.
The parents of both the deceased had opposed their marriage as they belonged to different castes. The police have registered a case in this connection.
The bodies had been sent for postmortem and further investigations are in progress.
