Lorry Driver Held For Sexually Assaulting Homemaker

Mancherial: A lorry driver was arrested on Thursday for sexually assaulting a married woman in Mancherial.

The miscreant Uppala Raju (24) belongs to RK8 colony in Naspur mandal. On Wednesday night he allegedly raped the woman who was alone in her house.

Speaking to the media at Srirampur police station, Jaipur Assistant Commissioner of Police Kavitha said, the lorry driver Uppala Raju, who was slightly drunken committed the offence. "Taking the advantage of her loneliness he committed the crime. The victim lodged a complaint with the police on Thursday" she added.

She advised people to stay away from anti-social activities.
