Lok Ayukta issues notice to AP Govt

The Lok Ayukta on Monday issued notice to the Andhra Pradesh government on snapping the power agreements with the Telangana state.

An advocate, named Janardhan Gowd, who submitted a petition to the Lok Ayukta, argued that the AP government is breaching the agreements that were signed during the state bifurcation.

Dealing with the petition, the court asked the Government to submit the reasons behind stopping power supply to Telangana. It directed the government to give explanation on this on or before January 19.
