Local TRS Leaders Hatched Conspiracy To Implicate Me: TRS MLA Shanker Naik
Mahabubabad: After being arrested by the police in the case related to improper behaviour with District Collector Preeti Meena, TRS MLA Shanker on Thursday accused the local TRS leaders for deliberately implicating him in the case.
Shankar Naik incidentally touched Preeti Meena during a Haritha Haaram programme at Mahabubabad on Wednesday, perhaps with a motive to move forward.
Soon after his arrest, Shanker Naik was released on bail and spoke to media persons. "Collector Preeti Meena is like a sister to me and we belong to same social class," he said.
Even after tendering apology to the Collector, the police picked me up from my house in the midnight and registered a case, he regretted. He was arrested on the charges of assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of her duty under IPC Section 353, 354.
