The counting for 1,093 ZPTC and 16,214 MPTC seats in Seemandhra and 441 ZPTC and 6,480 MPTC seats in Telangana began at 8 am on Tuesday.

Timmapur counting centre tense

Tense situation prevailed at Nageswari College counting centre at Timmapur in Karimnagar district on Tuesday morning after the counting of MPTC and ZPTC elections started.

Contesting candidates protested as police sent them out of centre. With the protest, the situation there become tense.

61 MPTC seats unanimous in Telangana

About 69 MPTC candidates were elected unopposed in Telangana. The figure for Congress party in the region is 24.

While TDP won 3 seats, TRS won 14 seats, Left parties won 2 and others got 26 seats unopposed.

Late counting leads to tense situation in Bhadrachalam

In Bhadrachalam, Khammam district, counting of votes did not begin till 8.20 am. Contestants were tensed at Chadrugonda and other places as counting has yet to begin.

Rowdy sheeter enters counting centre as TDP agent

A rowdy sheeter entered a counting centre as election agent of Telugu Desam Party in Anatapur district on Tuesday.

Nagabhushanam Naidu, a rowdy sheeter, entered Nallacheruvu ZPTC counting centre in Anantapur district as the agent.

The leaders of all political parties asked TDP officials as to how they had allowed a rowdy sheeter into a counting centre.

YSRCP leaders demanded the officials to send the rowdy sheeter out of the centre. They gave a police complaint too on the same. But, the police did not take any action on the complaint.

YSRCP leaders are blaming the officials for the incident.

Seven of a family lose in municipal elections

A peculiar situation took place in Ibrahimpatnam Nagar Panchayat in Ranga Reddy district.About seven members of a family contested from different wards from here and all of them were defeated.

Of them, five candidates contested from Congress party. They belong to the family of Chennaiah, a school correspondent at Ibrahimpatnam.

His sons, Bhanu Babu and Bhanu Chander, contested from ward numbers 1 and 16 respectively.

Chennaiah's daughters, Bhanu Rekha and Bhanu Priya, contested from ward numbers 4 and 13 respectively.

His wife Andalu contested from ward no. 15.

His son-in-law Sridhar Babu contested from ward no. 20 and daughter-in-law Jaya from ward no. 9

Finally, the voters there did not elect any of them in the entire family.

Counting of 6 MPTC seats stopped in Prakasam dt

Officials stopped the counting of six MPTC seats at Martur in Prakasam district. They said that they stopped the counting process as per the orders of the High Court of Andhra Pradesh.

YSRCP won the MPTC seats of Addanki, Peddaravedu, Giddaluru,Chimakurthi, Komarolu and Konapalli in the district.

MIM wins first MPTC seat in Ranga Reddy

Result of first MPTC in Ranga Reddy district has gone infavour of MIM. The party won Kottapet-7 seat in Saroor Nagar mandal.

Shazida Begum won from here as the candidate of MIM.
