Polling for 25 Lok Sabha constituencies and 175 Legislative Assembly seats in Seemandhra ended today.

As many as 3.68 crore voters are eligible to exercise their franchise at 40,709 polling stations spread across the 13 districts of Seemandhra.

Over 77 percent polling was recorded till 6 p.m. West Godavari and Guntur districts recorded highest polling at 73 percent. Visakhapatnam district registered lowest polling at 57 percent.


YS Jagan casts his vote, remembers YSR TDP candidate at Gannavaram resorted to violence on the day of polling.  Vallabaneni Vamshi  threatened YSRCP agents in Unguturu, and also tried to influence the workers with display of power and money, but they refused to cower.

Similarly, in a last desperate attempt to garner some support, TDP party workers tried to influence voters at Atmakuru in Otkur mandal. Police arrested those distributing money and liquor to the voters and registered a case against them.

YSRCP will win more than 150 seats: YS Bharathi


Later when media questioned her on TDP's claims of winning more seats than YSRCP, YS Bharathi said that the truth will be out in 10 days.

She also said the TDP-BJP alliance in the state was of least concern to them and added at YSRCP will emerge as the clear winner in these elections.

"People have seen Chandrababu Naidu for three and a half decades. They know he is the most dishonest leader. Not a word, that he says, will people believe," she said after casting her vote.

ASP allegedly attacks YSRCP MLA's son, supports TDP

One police officer broke the very law he is supposed to protect, on Wednesday,  in Jammalamadugu, YSR district.

ASP Appalanaidu attacked Sudheer, son of YSRCP MLA Adinarayana Reddy and contestant from Jammalamadugu assembly constituency. Sudheer who was acting as agent in  Devagudi polling station was forcibly removed by the ASP, who then went on to attack him as well.

The police, according to EC rules are not allowed to enter the polling booth, they can only provide security outside the station. However, the ASP violated the rule by entering the booth and even tried to influence the voters to vote for TDP, alleged YSRCP members.

After violating EC rules, TDP members resort to rigging

Telugu Desam Party, it would seem, in their desperation to garner last minute votes are resorting to violence, caste politics, bribery and the like.

The members have, in many places, violated the rules and guidelines issued by EC. Most importantly, the TDP members have indulged in rigging in many places.

As per reports, TDP men have participated in rigging across Srikakulam and Kurnool districts. Open rigging took place in M .Rajapuram village and Palakonda constituency in Veeragattam, Srikakulam district.

Sakshi TV video grabs have shown a woman voting three times in a polling booth.  YSRCP leaders have complained to district collector.

TDP also took to booth capturing in Avuku,Uppalapadu, Junnuthala of Kurnool district.
YSRCP strongly protested against the unruly behaviour of TDP members, and for a brief period tension gripped Ward no. 43, NR Peta, Kurnool.

YSRCP men tried to stop TDP members, but they were allegedly attacked.
TDP men captured the booth at Karingavaripalem in Nagara mandal as well.

TDP men attacked YSRCP leader Nagendra who opposed them from rigging ar Mindi in Visakhapatnam district also.

Balayya violates model code of conduct in Milapuram

Maybe it will be a worthwhile investment for Nandamuri Balakrishna,  Chandrababu Naidu and other TDP members to spend sometime reading the Election Commission guidelines.

After reportedly violating code of conduct by using mobile inside a polling booth on April 30, the actor is at it again.

The TDP Hindupur candidate violated the model code of conduct by campaigning at  Milapuram cross polling station on Wednesday. The last day for campaigning in Seemandhra was Monday. A complaint has been lodged by YSRCP members.

Incidentally, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu also violated code of conducted when he revealed to whom he cast his vote on April 30.

On the other hand TDP party workers are threatening YSRCP agents across the Uravakonda constituency in Anantapur district.They allegedly threatened YSRCP agents in Gandlapenta, Nallamada, Nallacheruvu, and Kadiri mandal, and are evn forcibly sending them out of polling station.
