LATM, Emirates, Azul Brazilian airlines top-3 in latest ranking

The latest survey on customer satisfaction about airline services puts LATM, Emirates, Azul Brazilian, Avianca and Southwest Airlines are top five among the global airlines. The world’s largest travel site TripAdvisor has carried out a survey on airlines’ services and customer feedback on them. Only 20 top airlines got over 4.5 out of 5 rating in the survey carried out by TripAdvisor.

The ever-changing requirements of customers keep airlines on their toes to meet the expectations. Otherwise they lose business to the competitors. TripAdvisor platform features flight reviews from 48 countries in 29 languages and covers every major carrier worldwide catering to the global community of 350 million users.

The survey has included eight categories, including legroom, seat comfort, and food and beverage, and in-flight entertainment, reviewers can upload photos.

It really helps consumers see what they’re going to get.”

South America’s LATAM Airlines received over 3,000 reviews on TripAdvisor. It’s rated high in great onboard entertainment, very nice staff, good food and drinks. It got 4.5 rating out of 5 in all the reviews. Emirates was recently named as the world’s best airline and for unsurpassed price, service and luxury. Azul Brazilian Airlines is rated high for best in-flight entertainment. Qatar Airways is rated as top-notch product. Colombia-based carrier Avianca is the world’s second-oldest airline after KLM, and rated in customer services and cleanliness categories. The US-based Southwest Airlines is rated as world’s low-cost carrier.

Singapore Airlines ranked for best in-flight entertainment. Russia’s flag carrier Aeroflot was name as best airline in Easter Europe. It was ranked high in customer service, cleanliness, check-in and boarding categories.

Garuda Indonesia is rated for good value for money. JetBlue Airways is rated for best food and most freebies such as Wi-Fi, basic TV and a snack zone. All Nippon Airlines is rated high for more leg room and great food. Air New Zealand is ranked high for best premium economy class.

Japan Airlines rated high for in-flight cleanliness and Cabin crew speak Cantonese, Japanese and English. Greece’s largest carrier Aegan Airlines is named as the best European regional airline by Skytrax. Alaska Airlines topped the ranking of legacy carriers for ninth consecutive year. British low cost carrier Jet2.com is ranked as best budget airline and appreciated for more leg room and pleasant staff.

Korean Air excels in in-flight children activities, amenities and meal-service products. Asian Airlines, the South Korea’s airline was rated as a great carrier with a bad website. Thai Smile Airways rated for spacious seating, but rated only 3.5 in in-flight entertainment. Bangkok Airways has been reviewed over 300 times on TripAdvisor. It scored 4.5 out of 5.
