Lakshmi Parvathi to join YSRCP soon

NTR Telugu Desam Party (TDP) president Lakshmi Parvathi will soon be joining the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP). Making the announcement at Eluru in West Godavari district today, the NTR TDP president said that she had written to the Election Commission to the effect hat she was stepping down from the party post to join the YSRCP.

“Soon after I receive a reply I will join the YSR Congress,” she told mediapersons.

It is almost winding up the NTR TDP but Lakshmi Parvathi did not agree with the argument. She said “I have decided to step down from the party post to join the YSR Congress,” was her curt reply to mediapersons repeated questions.

“The NTR TDP was established by none other than NTR himself and I struggled for well over 16 years to uphold his ideals. However, due to sabotage by some leaders and backstabbing by some others I could not continue the mission,” she observed. Lakshmi Parvathi felt that YSR Congress Party is the only platform that she could find suitable to continue the ideology of the late NTR and predicted that the YSRCP would emerge victorious in the next elections and form the government in the State.

She announced that she will soon work on a project to pen a book titled “NTR Maranam Tarvatha” (After NTR’s death). Lakshmi Parvathi was in Eluru town to attend Sunday’s YSR Congress Party public meeting. But the programme has since been put off indefinitely.
