Pepper spray MP Lagadapati not out?

Expelled Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal, it would seem, is having second thoughts over his political retirement.

He announced his political 'sanyas' soon after he created a ruckus in the Lok Sabha by spraying pepper spray after Telangana Bill was tabled.

Sources close to Lagadapati say that, he is now getting ready to test his strength in the upcoming municipal elections. He is contemplating fielding his own nominees in the elections and will also fund the election expenditure.

It is said that he has already met his supporters and has asked them to contest as as independents.

If he does pass this acid test, he may reconsider his political retirement, sources said. Recently, there were posters in Vijayawada that his followers are demanding him to reconsider his decision to retire from politics.

Lagadapati also has an answer ready if criticised over his volte face. He will just say he quit politics not his supporters.
