Lagadapati: Centre has stalled Telangana process

Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal made a sensational statement that could draw attention of many. He  claims to have got assurance from the Centre that the process of dividing the state will be stalled for now.

Seemandhra Congress MPs met at Lagadapati's house to decide the future course action on the Telangana issue.

After the meeting, Lagadapati said that they would collect more information about the to-be-formed high-level committee. He said that the meeting centrred around how to go about protests during the Parliament sessions.

The MPs will bring to the notice of Sonia Gandhi the interests of Seemandhra people, he said, adding, "We are fighting for the past four weeks to keep the state united."

Speculation is rife that in view of the raging Seemandhra protests Congress High Command has stalled the process of Telangana till the high-level Committee led by AK Antony submits its report on the issue. Yesterday, Union Minister Pallam Raju hinted at the same after meeting Sonia.
