KTR Snubs Police Unfriendliness

Hyderabad: Telangana IT minister KT Rama Rao on Tuesday snubbed the high-handedness of Telangana police after a Twitter user brought to his notice about their “unfriendly attitude”.

A Twitter user named Prabhas fan posted on KTR’s twitter handle with a picture showcasing a police official’s unfriendly behavior with a fruits vendor. The police official is seen throwing water melon to the ground.

The tweet read as, “Where is the friendly police?”

KTR brought the issue to the Telangana DGP Anurag Sharma requesting him to give counseling for officers who have direct interface with people. However, the minister realized that he is reprimanding his own public officials on social media.

However, not to lower the morale of the police officials, KTR posted another tweet in which he praised an SI for his timely help. He appreciated SI Ramesh carrying, who carried a physically challenged student in his arms to reach at the exam centre on time.
