Krish To Direct Kangana Ranaut For Jhansi Laxmibai Biopic
Acclaimed Tollywood director Krish, whose latest flick Gautamiputra Satakarni with Balakrishna in the lead role received critical acclaim and box office success alike, is now gearing up to make 'Manikarnika', a biopic of great woman warrior Rani Lakshmi Bai of Jhansi.
The lead role will be played by the lady super star Kangana Ranaut. After 'Ragoon', Kangana signed the movie. This is the first biopic for Kangana, who will be playing Rani Lakshmi Bai. 'Manikarnika' is birth name of Rani Lakshmi Bai. This movie will be simultaneously released in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. The story is by Vijayendra Prasad, the writer of Baahubali and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
'Manikarnika' is Krish's second movie in B-town, his first movie was 'Gabbar Is Back', starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role. The story is the remake of Chiranjeevi's 'Tagore'.
