Kotla’s remarks on Jagan an indication to UPA-CBI collusion?

Union Minister of State for Railways Kotla Suryaprakasa Reddy’s remarks against YSR Congress president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy at Kodumuru in Kurnool district on Sunday attracted strong criticism in the political circles.

The Union Minister said Jagan would not come out of the jail forever and it was imminent that his party would merge with the Congress party. His remarks came in as a surprise when Jagan’s counsel in the Supreme Court alleged that the Investigating agency CBI was deliberately delaying the investigation in the quid pro quo case in connivance with the UPA government at the centre.

Arguing in the Supreme Court, Jagan’s advocate Harish Salve on Monday said the CBI was intentionally preventing Jagan’s bail with political motive. The Union Minister Kotla Suryaprakasa Reddy’s comment a day before SC adjourned the bail case to May 6 that Jagan would not come out of the jail was intentional. Kotla was well aware that Jagan’s fate was in the hands of UPA not in the hands of CBI. “If Jagan gave green signal to merge his party with Congress, he will get the bail within no time,” say the political analysts commenting on the Kotla’s remarks.

How a Minister in the Central Cabinet could say that Jagan would not get bail forever and it was indicating a threat to Jagan. It showed how the UPA was using CBI for settling political scores, the analysts remarked.
