The YSRCP took the TDP to task over the issue of spate of murders of YSRCP activists and leaders in Andhra Pradesh.
The party launched a blistering attack on the ruling TDP after Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao gave permission for a debate on law and order situation in the state.
Starting the debate on the same, Nellore (Rural) MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy blasted the state government. “The attacks on YSRCP activists have increased after TDP came to power in the state. These attacks are pre-planned ones. Political opponents of the TDP are being eliminated in various parts of the state,” said Kotamreddy.
Kotamreddy brought to the notice of the assembly the issue of YSRCP leaders being attacked in the police stations itself. He presented the list of victims and blamed that nominal cases were booked on the leader who attacked the district collector in Nellore.
“Our MLA Mustafa and former MLA Ambati Rambabu were also attacked. YSRCP MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy has a threat to his life. Chandrababu Naidu has to take responsibility if anything happens to Chevireddy,” said Kotamreddy.
