Konakalla to contest again from Machilipatnam ?

MP Konakalla Narayana Rao said that he would contest again from Machilipatnam parliamentary constituency. He informed that he also got an assurance from TDP president Chandrababu Naidu. 

Speaking to the reporters in Vijayawada on Saturday, he said, “Chandrababu would be the next chief minister of the state in the state.”

“Any kind of development of new Seemandhra state is possible only with Chandrababu,” said Konakalla.

Even though several sitting party MPs in the party have doubts on getting tickets this time, the position of Konakalla is different. He suffered a health problem when he was protesting in the parliament over the bifurcation of the state. He was then admitted to AIIMS in Delhi then and later shifted to a hospital in Mumbai.

And thus, he has the sympathy of the people. The party leadership is feeling that fielding Konakalla can nullify the fact that TDP gave two letters to the centre infavour of bifurcation of the state and thus the party can benefit in Seemandhra region.
