Kolar girl gangraped in Kurnool

In a sad incident, a student was gangraped in Kurnool on Wednesday night. According to reports, the girl was gangraped by a auto driver and three others at Chinnatekuru in the district.

It is learnt that the victim dropped her sister to college and hired an auto to reach the railway station. But the auto driver took her to an isolated place near Chinnatekuru and raped her along with his three friends, police said. The girl who was is in a dire state has been admitted to a nearby hospital. Her condition is said to be critical.

It is learnt that the sister had gone to visit the victim in Kolar (Karanataka). The victim had come to Kurnool to get the girl admitted to a Nursing college on Wednesday. The tragedy struck when she was on her way to board the train to her hometown.

The sister is a resident of Darsi in Praksam district. A case has been registered and police have launched a hunt to nab the culprits, the district SP said.
