Kidnappers took me to Madanapalli: Kadapa Election Official

The DCCB elections in YSR Kadapa district took a new turn as the kidnapped election official was traced in Madanapalli, Chittoor district.

"I was kidnapped from my office. Four unidentified persons approached me in the guise of supporters of MLA. They have taken me to RIMS first saying the ministers wanted me to talk. They took me to a field near Madanapalli changing 4-5 vehicles", Chandrasekhar, the abducted election officials said.

He further said that the abductors told him that he would be sent home in five minutes, but they asked me to stay in the field entire night. They evaded answers whenever he asked for reasons for bringing him. They freed him at Mulakalacheruvu village at around 10 am on Wednesday; he said adding that he lodged a complaint after he was freed. It may be mentioned that the election of DCCB chairman was put off in Kadapa following missing of Election official.

Meanwhile, protesting against Chandrasekhar's kidnap, the YSRCP leaders under the leadership of YS Vivekananda Reddy staged dharna in front of DCCB premises alleging kamalapuram Congress MLA Veerasiva Reddy's hand in the kidnap drama. Meanwhile, YSRCP leader Balineni Srinivasa Reddy alleged that it was the handiwork of Congress party with a fear of defeat in the DCCB elections. He said the Government stayed the elections whereever the YSRCP has strong vote bank and the officials too have hand in glove with the Congress leaders.
