KCR to attend Amaravati foundation ceremony

Telangana chief minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao accepted the invitation extended by his Andhra Pradesh counterpart N. Chandrababu Naidu for the foundation laying ceremony of Amaravati. KCR will be

traveling by road via Suryapet where he will stay overnight on October 21 and will reach the function venue on October 22.

During their hour-long meeting Sunday at KCR's official residence, both the CMs exchanged views on various issues including interlinking of rivers, development of Japan, Singapore and Dubai and various corridors being constructed in AP. Chandrababu informed KCR that his government is implementing Mumbai-Delhi, Nellore-Chennai and Chennai-Vizag corridors for the development of AP. KCR suggested that Amaravati-Hyderabad-Mumbai, Bengaluru corridors could further contribute for the development of both states.

The Telangana TDP leaders L Ramana and Errabelli Dayakar Rao who accompanied Naidu requested both the CMs to do the needful to reopen Rayons Factory in Warangal district. KCR told them he already did whatever was necessary to revive the factory.

When Chandrababu inquired about KCR's mode of travel, the latter said he would travel by road via Suryapet. Naidu also gave invites to deputy chief minister Mahmood Ali, IT minister KT Rama Rao, power minister Jagadeeshwar Reddy and others. Earlier, when Chandrababu arrived at his residence, KCR extended a warm welcome by giving a bouquet at the main entrance of the house. Naidu gave KCR a package of Tirupati prasadam and presented a shawl. This was the first ever one-to-one meeting between the two chief ministers.
