KCR says no wrongdoing in DLF land deals

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday made a statement in the State Assembly on the controversial DLF land allotments.

Soon after the Assembly reassembled after the first adjournment, KCR said that the government has allotted 471 acres of land to APIIC at Sherlingampally. The APIIC then sold some part of land and mobilised funds to the Government. From these lands, the DLF company had acquired 31.31 acres of land at a price of Rs. 18 crores per acre. Those lands were registered in the month of September in 2013.
Ruling out the allegations made by TDP MLA Revanth Reddy, KCR made it clear that his government has no connection with the DLF lands controversy. The decision on these land allotments and all transactions were done before the Telangana state formed. His government has nothing to do with these land deals and some leaders stopped so low as to criticize the TRS government.
" I have been in the politics for the past 40 years. I worked in various positions ranging from a Single Window chairman to Union Minister. We have not come to power though nominations, the people of the state have elected us," KCR said and recalled that he even tried to sacrifice his life for Telangana movement.
He requested the Speaker to take action against the opposition leader if he failed to prove his allegations.
