KCR invites us to join TRS, says KK

The crucial  meeting between TRS chief KCR and Congress leader K Kesava Rao, which went about more than two hours at the latter’s residence on Sunday was believed to be an another jolt to ruling UPA government at the Centre.

KCR reportedly offered the T Congress leaders and MPs to join TRS at once to give a strong message to the Congress high command on Telangana. Manda Jagannadham had met KCR on Saturday and announced to join TRS on the former’s invitation. Giving a sudden surprise to the political circles, KCR hurriedly visited KK’s residence on Sunday afternoon and held discussions with him where Congress MP Manda Jagannadham was also present. KCR is understood to have conveyed the T Congress leaders that there would not be any impact on the Congress high command with one or two MPs shifting loyalties. KK was believed to be told that a group of MPs and MLAs at one stroke should quit the Congress in unison to open the eyes of Congress top leadership.

Talking to newsmen Kesava Rao said KCR told them that the Telangana movement would be a stronger if all the T Congress leaders joined TRS. “We are strongly believed that KCR’s thought was reasonable”, KK said, adding that T Congress MPs would convene a meeting  on Monday evening to finalise future course of action.
