Post tabling of Telangana Bill, Congress is only witnessing loses. After losing many a political leader to other parties, Congress is all set to lose yet another key political leader to TDP. Speculations are rife that senior Union Textiles minister Kavuri Sambasiva Rao is planning to join TDP.
Though he has not made any official announcement, he is reported to have confided to his aides that he has decided to quit Congress to join TDP.
Recently, he also announced that he would take a decision on his political future in few days.
But the senior leader is already facing stiff opposition from within the ranks of TDP. TDP leader Maganti Babu said that there is no space for Kavuri in their party.
The results of TDP in West Godavari district will be at stake if Kavuri joins TDP, he said.
He threw an open challenge to Kavuri saying that the latter had announced that he will win Eluru MP seat with 2 lakh majority but let him win at least a sarpanch seat.
