Katju must withdraw 'T' comments: Nagam

Irked by the remarks of the Press Council of India chairman, Justice Markandaya Katju over the Telangana issue, Telangana Rashtriya Lok Dal activists on Saturday tried to lay siege to Lake View guest house as a mark of protest in Hyderabad.

The activists were taken into custody when they attempted to protest.

In a related development, Telangana Nagara Samithi convener Nagam Janardhan Reddy condemned Katju's comments on the contentious 'T' issue. He demanded that Katju immediately withdraw his comments.

He said that it was improper for Katju to pass comments on the sensitive issue without any knowledge of the problems faced by the Telangana people.

It may be recalled that Katju had remarked that the demand for Telangana state was improper and some leaders were merely using it for selfish gains.
