Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah Ridicules KCR over Yaagam

Hyderabad: Wondering how a Yaagam could help achieve any development, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has ridiculed his Telangana counterpart K. Chandrasekhar Rao for his claims that the religious event was performed for the welfare and development of the state.While participating in the birth anniversary of poet Kuvempu in Bengaluru on Tuesday, a progressive thinking Congress man Siddaramaiah took a dig at KCR saying it was painful to see educated people also blindly believing in religious superstitions. "If a yaagam could bring in rains, there wouldn't be any sign of a draught in the country," he said.
