Kapus to Stage Protests Every Fortnight, to Intensify Stir for BC Status
* JACs to be formed in each villages to fight for reservations.
* Mudragada to meet Kapu leaders across the state to mobilise support.
* Says will defeat designs to divide Kapus.
Kapu community leaders have decided to intensify their agitation for BC reservations. Kapu community leaders, including former minister Mudragada Padmanabham, met on Tuesday at former Union Minister and film personality Dasari Narayana Rao and have resolved to form district, mandal and village level joint action committees to press for reservations.
"Every fortnight, agitational programmes would be organised across the state of Andhra Pradesh and I shall personally join the protests,"said Mudragada Padmanabham. He said the Kapu JAC would meet all Kapu leaders and solicit their support for the just demand.
"We are not demanding a share in someone else's pie. We are not against any community. We want our rightful reservations. We would not have asked for these reservations if Chandrababu Naidu did not promise us that he would give us BC status if he comes to power," said Mudragada.
