Kannada Producer Molests Woman On Promise Of Film Offer

Bengaluru: Kannada film producer Viresh V. was arrested for allegedly molesting a girl on Monday.

According to reports, the victim works as a receptionist in Viresh's office. The producer promised the girl to offer a heroine role in his next movie and called the girl to his home on the pretext of discussing the role in the movie and tried to assault her sexually.

The girl escaped and locked him in a room. She then called her family who thrashed Viresh and shot the scene in a mobile phone, which later telecast in a local TV channel.

The victim's family handed over the video to police. The police registered the case and took the producer into custody.

The producer also filed a complaint against the girl's family for attacking him in his house.
