Kadiyam goes, takes away 'T' votes from TDP

In a major blow to the Telugu Desam, party senior leader and former minister Kadiyam Srihari resigned from the party on Saturday. He announced his resignation to the primary membership of the party.

"The public is fed up with the Chandrababu's two eyes theory. The TDP's stand at the all-party meeting in Delhi last year is not correct. TDP is not in favour of Telangana, but supporting Samikayandhra," Kadiyam told a TV channel in an interview after submitting his resignation.

He further hinted that the party which was formed to fight against Congress is now protecting it. Naidu is backing a party which has lost people's trust. "Public are of the view that TDP and Congress are one," he added. "Naidu has not once expressed his support for Telangana. Party leadership has many loop holes and because of this TDP was defeated twice," he opined.

For many decades, Telangana people have been fighting for a separate statehood to their region. The ruling party both at the state and Centre has betrayed our people. Thousands of people have sacrificed their lives for the 'T' cause. But political parties are blind to such tragedies.  On the one side, TDP says it is not against Telangana, but on the other there's no participation of the party in the 'T' movement.

Kadiyam raised many eyebrows when he did not attend Naidu's conclusion meeting in Visakhapatnam. Kadiyam Srihari is a senior TDP leader from Telangana region. He played a key role when the party wrote a letter to the Pranab committee in 2008 supporting Telangana. TDP's fate now hangs in balance as a strong Dalit leader is leaving the party. Kadiyam will soon declare which party he will be joining after discussing the same with his supporters. It is learnt that Kadiyam met TRS chief KCR two days back. Kadiyam is also believed to have said that he has invitation from both TRS and the BJP.

Speculation is rife is that Srihari will contest from Warangal Lok Sabha seat on behalf of TRS. It is learnt that Kadiyam bid adieu to TDP only after getting an assurance from the TRS.
