Superstar Rajinikanth fans have to wait for a few more days to know about the release date of Kaala film. Produced by actor Dhanush, Kaala satellite rights have been sold for a hefty price Rs 75 Cr including all languages Telugu, Hindi and Tamil. Rajini will be seen playing a mafia don named Karikaalan (also called Kaala).

The film is directed by Pa Ranjith who had worked with the super star for Kabali which was released in 2015. But the movie did not quite get box office records going .If sources are to be believed, a key section of Kaala was shot in Mumbai which will be a highlight of the film.

Apart from Rajnikanth, the film boasts a stellar cast including Huma Qureshi, Anjali Patil, Eswari Rao and Pankaj Tripathi. Actor Nana Patekar has been roped to play the role of an antagonist in Kaala. It is expected to hit the screens this April but due to the strike in Tamil Nadu, Kaala got postponed. Fans are eagerly waiting to know the release date of Kaala. The filmmakers have kept the audiences in a bit of confusion about the precise release date of the film.

Rajini fans are waiting with bated breath for an update of Rajini's pending project 2.0. It is directed by S Shankar which also features Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar as a baddie role in the film along with Amy Jackson as a female lead who is reprising the role of Aishwarya Rai.
