Visakhapatnam: In a shock to Christian preacher KA Paul, Visakhapatnam Tehsildar on Monday served notices asking him to handover the properties registered under GUM (Gospel to the Unreached Millions) society to Visakhapatnam Urban MRO by October 11. The properties will be handed over to Esther Rani, wife of Paul's brother David Raju in whose murder case the international preacher was an accused.

The notices were served to six other parties following the judgement from the apex court.

Auditorium located in Asilmetta locality in Visakhapatnam belonged to the GUM society which is being run by Paul. Several properties running into crores of rupees are currently under the GUM society. After the gruesome murder of David Raju, wife of the deceased and children had been waging a legal battle over the properties.

Earlier, the High Court of Hyderabad had passed a judgement that the properties under the GUM societies belonged to Paul and they should handedover to him. Challenging the High Court order, David Raju's wife knocked at the Supreme Court's door on May 16 earlier this year. Following the Supreme Court orders, the notices were served to Paul.

In 2005, the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability terminated the membership of Paul's organization — GUM for failing to meet financial accountability and governance standards.
