Girl ends life due to alleged harassment by college management

Tirupati: In a shocking incident, a junior intermediate girl student committed suicide at Thummalakunta in Tirupathi on Tuesday.

As per reports, Rekha, who hails from Railwaykoduru of YSR district committed suicide by hanging herself to a fan on Monday night.Girl's parents expressed doubts over her death and alleged that harassment by the college management could have been responsible for her death.

Talking to media persons, girl's mother said, "last night I received call from management saying that Rekha was in serious condition. When I reached the college there was nobody to respond from management side." She also said Rekha was a brave girl and she won't take such a decision to end her life. Rekha's mother also expressed that someone had rammed her hard to a wall because there were no marks on her neck to show that she hanged herself.

MR Palli police reached the spot on receiving the information and the body was shifted to hospital for postmortem
