Today will be a D Day for the people of Andhra Pradesh. The eyes of all the people of Seemandhra and Telangana are on today's Congress Core Committee meet.

According to highly placed sources, the AK Antony Committee which was constituted to look into the grievances of Seemandhra people, will submit its report to the core committee today evening. The meeting is scheduled to take place at 5.30 pm.

The Antony Committee held deliberations with Seemandhra leaders several times to know the problems that could hit Seemandhra people in the event of state division. According to Seemandhra leaders, the committee set up by the Centre has been briefed about the grievances of people and ongoing agitations in the state.

All those issues will be put before the Core Committee in today's meeting for further action. There were reports that Home Ministry has also prepared a note on Telangana which will be sent for political clearance.

The Congress High Command has clearly hinted that it will go ahead with the Telangana process only after examining the final report prepared by the Antony Committee.

Latest reports coming in also suggest that former PCC chief D Srinivas met AICC chief Sonia Gandhi in the wake of Telangana discussion this evening.

Sonia is expected to take a final call on Telangana after today's crucial meet. It's worth mentioning here that Sonia always meets DS before deciding on crucial issues.
